What a great turnout for our first shoot. The rain was belting down and 39 archers came to shoot anyway. Thankfully the rain stopped before we started.
We wanted to make it an interesting course while sticking to the rules for SBG. Based on the comments during and after the shoot I think most people enjoyed it, and thought that the shots were deceptive. (Or as one person said “sneaky”). But I can list at least one shot that was straightforward. (the fat turkey). And in fairness to us, it’s not our fault that squirrels are small.
Huge thanks go to all those who helped. And thanks also to those who offered to help but were not called upon, we didn’t want to spoil the surprises course ![]()
Thanks also to Dunbrody Archers, the shoot would not have been possible without them, it’s one thing to run a shoot without backstops, but it’s a lot harder without targets.
The SBG layout has already been removed and we’re planning a new layout for early next year. It will hopefully be an IFAA Unmarked Animal round. (Some people might be happy that group 5 targets are not allowed)
Thanks again for your support, help and good wishes.
See you at the next shoot.
